Built from one frustration
Skin2 degree started because the shelf was crowded and the results were not.
Like most people, our founder had accumulated a bathroom shelf of products bought on the promise of a fix: a serum for texture, an oil for glow, a treatment for whatever the last one caused. The routine got longer and the skin got more reactive.
Stripping it back to the basics of cleansing gently and hydrating properly did more in a month than the collection had in a year. The range came out of that: a small number of formulas that do the fundamentals well, for people who would rather spend four minutes a day than fourteen.
Four commitments
Short over long
We will not add a product to the range because there is a gap in the catalogue. It goes in when it does something the others do not.
Plain language
No invented science, no borrowed clinical vocabulary. If we cannot explain why an ingredient is there in a sentence, it does not belong.
Honest about limits
Skincare improves how skin looks and feels. It is not medicine, and we will always say so rather than imply otherwise.
Answerable
Messages are answered by the people who make the decisions here, not by a script.
Early, and saying so
Skin2 degree is a young brand. We would rather be straight about that than pretend to a heritage we do not have.
What that means practically: the range is small, batches are limited, and we are still learning from the people who use it. It also means the feedback you send genuinely changes what happens next, in a way it will not once a brand is large.
If something about a formula does not work for your skin, tell us. That is more useful to us right now than a five star review.
Begin the ritual
Two minutes in the morning, two at night. That is the whole commitment, and skin responds to consistency more than it responds to complexity.
